Sylvin Sigg Obituary

Sylvin Stanly Sigg, 84, formerly of 116 Barr Drive, Sidney, Ohio more recently of Dorothy Love Retirement Community, Sidney, died October 28, 2003 at 9:00 PM in Dorothy Love Retirement Community of natural causes following a lengthy illness. Born September 12, 1919, in Williams County, he was the son of the late Albert R. Sigg and Jeanette (Posey) Sigg. On June 23, 1945, he married the former Wilma G. Stock. She survives. Other survivors include five sons and their spouses, James and Linda Sigg of Lima, Ohio; Joseph and Linda Sigg of Glendale, Arizona; Michael Sigg of Wooster, Ohio; Thomas and Crissie Sigg of Antwerp, Ohio and Daniel and Kathy Sigg of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; three granddaughters, eleven grandsons, one great-granddaughter and two great-grandsons. Five brothers preceded him in death. Mr. Sigg graduated from Tiffin High School and attended both the University of Dayton and Purdue University. He served in the Army as a corporal and in the Navy. He was a volunteer at Dorothy Love Retirement Community. He enjoyed woodworking. He was a former member of the Friendship Methodist Church in Friendship. He was an electrical engineer and worked for 20 years for BF Goodrich in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2003 at 1:30 PM at the Oliver and Peg Amos Chapel at Dorothy Love Retirement Community with Dr. Fred B. Lacuesta.
