Roger Walker Obituary

Roger Lee Walker, 56, 701 Monroe St., Sidney, Ohio died at his residence on Thursday, July 12, 2007. He was born July 17, 1950 in Greenbriar, West Virginia the son of Samuel A. and Betty Jean (Loudermilk) Walker. They are deceased. He married Debra Elaine Eley on February 12, 1999 and she survives. Also surviving are three children, Angela Walker of Sidney; Scott Walker of Sidney and Darren Walker of Sidney; three step-children, Brandon McKnight, Travis McKnight, Leslie McKnight; two grandchildren, Tara Adkins and Darrien Walker; one sister, Sandy Chitwood and husband Larry of Sidney, Ohio; two brothers, Gary Walker of Sidney and Kevin Walker and wife Doris of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews. A brother, Samuel A. Walker Jr. and a sister, Deanna Lambert are deceased. He was a 1968 graduate of Sidney High School. He was a NASCAR fan, loved to deer hunt, fish, hunt and loved his beloved Golden Retrievers, Shadow and Sammy. He had been an employee of the Stolle Corp. for 27 years and was most recently employed there as a scheduler. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Jarrett. Burial will be at Shelby Memory Gardens, Sidney, Ohio. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 from 4-8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shelby County Humane Society and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
