Paul Wiseman Obituary

Paul Wiseman, 38, of Sidney, Ohio, was called home to heaven on Thursday March 10, 2022, at Koester Pavilion in Troy, Ohio, following a short stay in the hospital and his passing was very much unexpected. He was born July 15, 1983, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of Mark and Carol (Cox) Wiseman who are deceased. On October 4, 2008, Paul married his wife Tammy (Evans) Wiseman and she survives.

Paul is survived by his loving wife of thirteen years Tammy (Evans) Wiseman of Sidney, and his brother William Wiseman, of Las Vegas, NV & his beloved dog "Baby Girl." Paul was preceded in death by his Mother Carol (Cox) Wiseman, and Father Mark Wiseman. His grandparents were John & Linda (Cox) Wiseman, who also preceded him in death. He is survived also by two paternal aunts and several cousins, and nieces & nephews on both sides and best friend of 30+ years, Douglas Roller, whom Paul had asked to officiate his funeral. His close friend of 20+ years, Frank Carr and family were like his “adopted” family. Paul leaves behind a lot of dearly loved friends that considered him a brother and uncle.

Paul was a graduate of Sidney High School in 2002 and attended on occasion Connection Point Church, Sidney, Ohio. To say Paul was a sport enthusiast is an understatement especially when it came to his love for football. He was an avid supporter of the Sidney Yellow Jackets, and most certainly the Ohio State Buckeyes & Cincinnati Bengals.

Paul played IUTIS softball from a young age and through most high school. While in high school he played football. He was a casual member of a local youth group and played basketball occasionally on Friday nights at the Salvation Army open gym. As he got older, he followed in his father’s footsteps and was a frequent announcer for both Sidney Electric girls’ softball at Custenborder and for IUTIS at Harmon Field. He also became a regular softball umpire and coach at Flanagan Softball Complex through USSSA. His best friend, Doug then got Paul into becoming a Redcoat at Ohio State home football games for about three seasons, and most recently he had been a cameraman for the Yellow Jacket varsity football program.

Paul was a soft-hearted soul with a big heart and was a stranger to nobody when it came to helping people out. He was one in a million that would have given you the shirt off his back or his last bit of food to you to take care of you if you needed something. This year, 2022, at the Annual Memorial Day Softball Tournament, Paul is going to be honored for a job well done.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Salm-McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home with Pastor Douglas Roller. Interment will follow at Miami Memorial Park, Covington, Ohio near his dearly loved brother-in-law Tony Evans.
