Martin J. Rickard

Martin J. Rickard, 72, of Conover, Ohio, was called home to heaven on January 11, 2023, at Momentous Health in Sidney, Ohio. He was born October 30, 1950, in St. Paris, Ohio, the son of Cecil and Opal (Crouse) Rickard, who are deceased.

Martin is survived by one daughter, Kelli Rickard of Sidney, Ohio, one sister, Moyna (Lowell) Ritter of Troy, Ohio, one brother, Monte (Kim) Rickard of Springfield, Ohio, and seven grandchildren. Martin was preceded in death by both his parents and one sister Medra Swiger and one brother, Milbry Rickard.

Following high school, Martin went on and proudly served in the United States Army. After serving our country, Martin owned his own auto body painting company before retiring. Martin enjoyed fishing, boating, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Martin was loved by many and will be greatly missed.  

In keeping with Martin’s wishes he will be cremated and there are no services to be held. Online condolences may be left for the Rickard family at www.salm-mcgillandtangemanfh.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Miami County Hospice. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Miami County Hospice for all their help and care with Martin.
