Marjorie S. Smith

Marjorie S. Smith, 87, of Sidney, Ohio, was called home to heaven on January 11th, 2022, at home surrounded by her family in Sidney, Ohio. She was born July 10th, 1934, in McCreary County, Kentucky, the daughter of James and Bertha (Chitwood) Lewis, who are deceased. In 1957, Marjorie married Ronald Smith and he survives.  

Marjorie is survived by her husband of 64 years Ronald, along with two children Jennifer (Frank) St. Myers and Mike (Kathy) Smith both of Sidney, six grandchildren Nathan (Kaci) Smith, Keely (Nate) Girod, Cory (Danika) St. Myers, Joshua St. Myers, Sara St. Myers and Carly St. Myers and thirteen great grandchildren. Marjorie was preceded in death by both her parents and her three brothers and sisters Aldena Guthrie, Wilmogene Travis, and Harold Lewis.

Marjorie graduated McCreary County High School in Kentucky. Marjorie worked at Stolles in Sidney, Ohio for a short time before being a homemaker. Marjorie enjoyed painting, putting puzzles together, but most of all spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, family, and friends. Marjorie was of the Baptist faith.

A graveside service will be held Friday January 21st at 10:30am at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney Ohio with Pastor Garland Wilkerson and Grandson Nathan Smith.
