Lucille Steinke Obituary

Lucille R. Steinke, 88, Jackson Towers, 333 E. North St., Sidney, Ohio died at Wilson Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at 1:15 PM. She was born on May 22, 1922 in New Bremen, Ohio the daughter of William J. and Leona W. (Leitz) Schierholt and they are deceased. She was married to James Richard Steinke on July 16, 1944 and he died November 24, 1986. Surviving are three sons including twins, James William Steinke and wife Nancy of Anna, Ohio and Richard Edward Steinke and wife Joan of Anna, Ohio and David Alan Steinke and wife Pam of Anna, Ohio; grandchildren, Aaron (Julie) Steinke of Anna; Jason (April) Steinke of Dayton; Michelle (Shaun) Adams of Piqua; twins, Melissa (Kyle) Brandewie of Piqua and Michael (Brandi) Steinke of Ft. Bragg, North Carolina; Teri (David) Greve of Botkins; Amy Brown of Botkins; Tracey Steinke of Anna; and Ryan (Brittany) Steinke of Sidney; great-grandchildren, Bradley Steinke of Germany; Alec, Derek, Ryan and Kara Steinke of Anna; Nolan and Taira Greve of Botkins; Jacob and Jared Brown of Botkins; Adriana Steinke of Sidney and Caelynn Steinke of Anna; sisters, Lois (Virgil) Darling of Tucson, Arizona and Susan Zartman of Tucson, Arizona and twin brothers, Don (Mary) Schierholt of Lima and Dale (Joyce) Schierholt of Hamilton and sister-in-laws, Mary Limbert of Dayton and Ruth (Jerry) Grantham, Houston, Texas and many nieces and nephews. Deceased are sisters, Jean Reigelsberger, Dorothy Myers and Betty McCullough and deceased brother-in-laws, Urban Reigelsberger and William Limbert. Mrs. Steinke graduated from Blume High School in Wapakoneta, Ohio in 1940. She retired from the Sears Catalog Center in Sidney after 23 years of service. Lucille and her husband Jim retired early and did a lot of traveling in their 5th wheel travel trailer. Lucille lived in Tuscon, Arizona for 10 years returning to Sidney in 2005. She enjoyed going to the casino's with her friends. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. As per her request, her body will be cremated. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Holy Angels Catholic Church at 10:30 AM with Rev. Jason Bedel. Burial will be at a later date at Sacred Heart Cemetery, McCartyville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Angels Restoration Fund, 324 S. Ohio Ave., Sidney, Ohio 45365 in Lucille Steinke's memory and envelopes will also be available at the church during the memorial mass.
