Kathryn (Kathy) Louise Goffena

Kathryn (Kathy) Louise Goffena, 59, passed away at the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 7:35 AM.   She was born May 13, 1955 in Columbus, Ohio the daughter of Leroy and Margaret (Weiskittel) Goffena and they are deceased.  Also preceding her in death are her grandparents, Henry and Henrietta Weiskittel, several aunts and uncles as well as several cousins.   She is survived by uncles Don Evans and Dale Hall, aunts, Mary Weiskittel and Dorothy Ann Weiskittel and many cousins.   Kathy grew up in the Sidney area.   She eventually moved to the Belle Center and then to Russells Point before she moved to Columbus in 2010.  She remained in Columbus until her death.   Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney with Rev. Frank Amberger.   Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney.  Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home from 9:30 AM until the hour of service on Friday, September 19, 2014.  Memorial contributions may be made in Kathy’s name to Ohio Health Hospice, Ohio Health Foundation, 180 East Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio  43215.   Special thanks is sent to Amy and Angie of Ohio Health Hospice , in home services and Dr. Mason and all the staff at the Kobacker House for all the wonderful care they provided for Kathy.   Condolences may be expressed to the Goffena family on Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home’s web site at:   www.salm-mcgillandtangemanfh.com
