James Doak Obituary

James H. Doak, 85, Heritage Manor Nursing Home, 24 N. Hamilton St., Minster, Ohio died at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio on Sunday, April 19, 2009 of natural causes. He was born August 10, 1923 in Sidney, Ohio the son of J. V. and Gladys (Young) Doak and they are deceased. He was married on May 16, 1944 to Betty Hole and she died September 21, 2007. Surviving are four children, James M. Doak of Sidney, Ohio; Kathleen Maynard of Sidney, Ohio; Ronald Doak and wife Diane of Sidney, Ohio and Lisa Keith of Minster, Ohio; twelve grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; four sisters and one brother. One grandson, Gregory Trapp and five brothers and two sisters are deceased. He was a United State veteran of the Navy in World War II. He had been a volunteer fireman and police officer for Port Jefferson, Ohio at one time and also worked at Ross Aluminum and LeRoi Corporation in Sidney and was the owner of Doak Well Drilling at one time. He was a member of Only Believe Ministries in Botkins, Ohio. Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney, Ohio with full military honors. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 3003 W. Cisco Rd., Sidney, Ohio 45365.
