Helen Kerbs Obituary

Helen W. Kerbs, 97, Sidney Care Center, 510 Buckeye Ave., Sidney, Ohio died at the nursing home on Friday, December 10, 2004 at 5:05 PM. She was born November 21, 1907 in Sidney, Ohio the daughter of Joseph Gordon and Effie Belle (Miller) Wade. She was married to Fred R. Kerbs on August 19, 1947 in Las Vegas, Nevada and he died November 20, 1976. She was a 1925 graduate of Sidney High School. Surviving are one sister, Marguerite W. Miller of Sidney, Ohio; a nephew, John Miller and his wife Jayme Miller of Sanford, North Carolina; four first cousins in California and numerous other nieces and nephews. She worked in small factory offices after graduation from high school and during World War II she worked at Waco Aircraft Co. in Troy, Ohio. She then moved to Los Angeles, California, then to Spokane Valley, Washington. In 1986, she moved back to Ohio from Idaho. She enjoyed reading and the outdoors. She was a member of Sidney First Presbyterian Church. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at 1:00 PM at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home with Rev. Rawley Boone. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until the hour of service on Tuesday.
