Doris J. Wells, 80, of Anna, Ohio, was called home to heaven on May 20, 2022, at Ohio Living Dorothy Love in Sidney, Ohio. She was born April 5, 1942, in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of Ayers and Geraldine (Webb) Dilbone, who are deceased.
Doris is survived by her three sons: Curtis (Saundra) Wells, William (Melissa) Wells, and Gerald (Maryann) Wells, all of Anna, Ohio along with twelve grandchildren Maria (Collin) Homan, Steven (fiancé Abby Gaydosh) Wells, Kaitlyn Wells, Brooke (Caleb) Luthman, Phillip (Betsy) Wells, Elizabeth (Alex) Hohlbein, Jordan (Emily) Wells, Rachel Wells, Josh Wells, Dylan (Kenzie) Wells, Mackenzie (Adam) Vanderhorst, and Lexi Wells, nineteen great –grandchildren, and one sister-in-law Carolyn Dilbone. Doris is preceded in death by her husband William, both her parents, and one brother Harold Dilbone, one sister Virginia Sniffen, and a brother-in-law, Thomas Sniffen.
Doris graduated from Sidney High school class of 1960. Doris was a homemaker. Doris enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, and cooking but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her family. Doris will be missed by many. Doris was a member of St. Jacobs Lutheran Church in Anna, Ohio.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Doris’s final resting place will be at Pearl Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the nurses, aids, and staff at Dorothy Love along with Wilson Hospice for all their help and care with Doris.
