Doris Studevant Obituary

Doris J. Studevant, 90, Dorothy Love Retirement Community, 3003 W. Cisco Rd., Sidney, Ohio died at the nursing home on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 2:15 AM. She was born August 18, 1916 in Xenia, Ohio the daughter of Ralph W. and Florence L. (Jackson) Munger. She married Tom L. Studevant on May 28, 1936 and he died in January, 1973. Surviving are three children, Duane Studevant and his wife Beverly of Sidney; Sylvia Snook and husband Jack of Clermont, Florida and Vicki Steenrod and husband Randall of Lexington Park, Maryland; 13 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; three brothers and one great-grandchild are deceased. She was a 1933 graduate of Sidney High School and attended the Western College for Women in Oxford, Ohio. She was a member of the Charity League, Wilson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Dorothy Love volunteer, FISH voluntter; was a member of the First Prebyterian Church in Sidney where she was a Deacon and a member of the Women's Association. She had worked at Dixie Auto Parts in sidney for many years as a bookkeeper and retired from there. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 1:30 PM at the Amos Chapel at Dorothy Love Retirement with Chaplain Keith Matthews. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 from 6-8 PM and from 1:00 PM until the hour of service on Thursday at the Amos Chapel at Dorothy Love. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dorothy Love Life Care Fund, 3003 W. Cisco Rd., Sidney, Ohio 45365 or the charity of one's choice.
