Dennis J. Mawhorr

Dennis J. Mawhorr, 72, of Sidney, Ohio passed away on July 17, 2023.  He was born January 20, 1951 in Sidney, Ohio the son of James and Katherine (Kinstler) Mawhorr.  Dennis was preceded in death by both his parents, James and Katherine Mawhorr; sister, Janice (Mawhorr) Fullenkamp; and niece, Amanda (Fullenkamp) Walters.  He is survived by his nieces, Julia (Rick) Kremer, Kimberly (Fred) Thomas and Lori Bostick. Also surviving are two cousins Bev (Fred) Gross and Larry (Arla) Mawhorr.

Dennis was a life-long member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and a graduate of Lehman Catholic High School.  Following high school, Dennis worked for The Kroger Co. for over forty years before he retired.  He was a member of the Sidney Elks.

Dennis enjoyed traveling throughout his life.  He also enjoyed playing the piano and listening to music, his favorite being the Beach Boys.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 10:30am at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Fr. Steve Mondiek. Interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
