Daniel Hickerson Obituary

Daniel E. Hickerson, 57, of Sidney, Ohio, was called home to the lord on Wednesday December 15th, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 20th, 1964 in Sidney, Ohio to Morris and Charlene (Rosebeck)Hickerson Sr. and they are deceased. Daniel is survived by his three children, Eric Hickerson of Piqua, Ohio, Ashley(Jason) Clark, and Mackenzie Hickerson both of Sidney, Ohio; and thirteen brothers and sisters, Constance (Dale) Forsythe of Piqua, Ohio, Catherine (Rick) Hagens of Anna, Ohio, James (Patricia) Hickerson of Fort Loramie, Ohio, (Morris Jr. deceased) (Marcia) Hickerson of Anna, Ohio, Timothy Hickerson of Sidney, Ohio, Cynthia (John) Wright of Piqua, Ohio, Jerry (Suzie) Hickerson of Houston, Ohio, Edward (Beverly) Hickerson of Minster, Ohio, Margaret (Joel) Rickey of Sidney, Ohio, Robert Hickerson of Minster, Ohio, Melinda (David) Kaeck of Sidney, Ohio, Andrew (Wendy) Hickerson of Yorkshire, Ohio, and (Archie Hickerson deceased.) Daniel was preceded in death by both his parents and two brothers. 

Daniel graduated from Fort Loramie High School class of 1983. He worked at Ross Aluminum in Sidney as a welder for many years. He was a very special person who had many, many friends. When Daniel was in high school he was an avid FFA member and was excited when he learned that his children were going to be in FFA in high school. Daniel enjoyed going fishing, hunting, singing Karaoke, playing the guitar, watching wrestling, and loved watching football especially Cincinnati Bengal’s, and was a big Bear Cats fan, but most of all he loved spending time with his family, and especially his dog Tater. He was of the Catholic faith.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 22nd, 2022 at 4:00 PM at Crossroads Hall of Hardin United Methodist Church, 6073 Hardin Wapak Rd, Sidney, OH 45365 with Pastor Steve Hunsucker. Friends may call at Crossroads Hall of Hardin United Methodist Church, on Saturday January 22nd, 2022 from 2pm until the time of service. There will be an open jam after the luncheon and invites all to bring an instrument if you would like to play one. Online condolences may be left for the Hickerson family at www.salm-mcgillandtangemanfh.com.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Ohio or the Hickerson family to help cover funeral expenses. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ohio Hospice for all their help and care with Daniel.
