Billie Louise (Klingler) Burkholder

Billie L. Burkholder, 83 years old, of Westerville, formerly of Lima, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at 3:42 AM, at Hospice of Central Ohio at the Wexner Medical Center, in Columbus. She was born on November 16, 1936, in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of Ray and Marie (Smith) Klingler. Both parents have preceded her in death.

She was retired from Milcor Lima Register, and Helping Hands, Ottawa. She worked hard as a single mother and raised her children in a truly loving way. She was a good Christian woman who always had time and deeply cared for others, many times “turning the other cheek,” as her strong faith was practiced. She will be forever remembered by her children; Steve Burkholder, of Lima, Anne (Dan) McCoy of Urbana, and Kathe (Daniel Kelley) Burkholder, of Westerville; her grandchildren; Angela (Brian Fochtman) Burkholder of Bluffton, Ohio; Allison Brown of Simsbury, Conn.; and Anastasia Tigner of Urbana. Billie also had a great-granddaughter, Brianne Hurley. She is also survived by her brother; Jeff (Mary) Klingler; two siblings are deceased; Venice Gossard, and Johnny Klingler. Billie also had a daughter, Allison Burkholder, precede her in death

Private family graveside services will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima on a later date, and will be officiated by the Rev. Andrew Scholz, of City North Church in Sunbury, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Homeless to Home Animal Rescue and Cat Sanctuary, 1745 Marion-Waldo Rd. Marion, Ohio 43302.
