Barbara A. Knapke

Barbara A. Knapke, 66, of Sidney, Ohio, was called home to heaven on February 23, 2022, at her residence in Sidney, Ohio. She was born November 22, 1955, in Middletown, Ohio, the daughter of William and Agnes (Wilson) Smith, who are deceased. On April 25, 1992 Barbara married her husband Jerald Knapke and he survives.

Barbara is survived by her husband Jerald along with two daughters Ashley and Jessica Knapke both of Sidney, Ohio, one sister Jennifer (Randy) Clemons of Sidney, Ohio, and four grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by both her parents.

Barbara graduated from Lemon Monroe High School, class of 1974. Following graduation, Barbara worked at Wilson Hospital as a STNA for many years before retiring. Barbara enjoyed sewing, traveling and going on cruises with her husband and family and most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her family. Barbara will be missed by many. Barbara was a member of Holy Angels Church in Sidney, Ohio.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 7:30 PM at Salm-McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home with Pastor David Clem. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney, Ohio on Monday from 6:00pm until time of service at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Interim Hospice for all their help and care with Barbara.
