Barbara A. Dearth

Barbara A. Dearth, 92, of Sidney, Ohio, was called home to heaven on September 27, 2022 at Fair Haven Shelby County Home in Sidney, Ohio. She was born December 7, 1929, in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Earl and Lucille (Foster) Bell.

Barbara is survived by three children Nancy Clayton of Sidney, Ohio; Harriet Cotterman of Los Angeles, California; Suzan Ratliff of Sidney, Ohio; along with one sister and one brother Melody (Bernard) Voisard and Michael (Heather) Bell both of Piqua, Ohio; and ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by both of her parents and one daughter Tawnys (Mark-deceased) Hensley.

Barbara graduated from Piqua High School in Piqua, Ohio class of 1947. Following school, Barbara worked as a homemaker, drove school bus, and touch swimming lessons. Barbara was a member of Eastern Star and Women of the VFW. Barbara enjoyed helping others as much as she could, volunteering, but most of all she loved to spend time with her grandchildren, family, and especially her children. Barbara will be missed by many.

In keeping with Barbara’s wishes, she will be cremated, and a private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Barbara’s final resting place will be at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney, Ohio. Online condolences may be left for the Dearth family at www.salm-mcgillandtangemanfh.com.
