Alma F. (Herzog) Hill

Alma F. (Herzog) Hill, 85, of Sidney, Ohio passed away on June 16, 2023, at The Landings of Sidney. She was born September 17, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of William and Alma (Frietsch) Herzog. She was married to Ronald E. Hill on September 7, 1957.

Alma is survived by two children, Jennifer (Gary) Voehringer of Waynesville, Ohio and Greg (Jodi) Hill of Worthington, Ohio, six grandchildren and one brother Charles Imoff of Columbus, Ohio. Alma was preceded in death by her husband, parents and nine siblings.

Alma graduated from Hughes High School in 1955. She worked in the Sidney City School system as a teacher’s aide and then as the librarian at Central Elementary School before retiring after 28 years. Alma was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church serving on the Sacred Heart Altar Rosary Society for over 50 years.

In addition to all of Alma’s work, she enjoyed traveling, playing cards and going to the Sidney/Shelby County Senior Citizens Center, where she also volunteered. Most of all Alma loved her friends and family. The family would also like to thank Day City Hospice and the staff at The Landings of Sidney for their endless care and support for Alma.

Family and friends may call Friday, June 23, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney, Ohio. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 23, 2023 with Deacon Phil Myers. Interment will follow at Pearl Cemetery Sidney, Ohio.
