William Opphile

William "Willie" Opphile, 75, of Sidney, passed away at Buckeye Forest Nursing Home in Piqua, on Thursday - October 31, 2024, at 4:30PM. Willie was born on March 12, 1949, in Kenton, Ohio, to the late John and Mable (Taylor) Opphile Sr.

Willie is survived by his brothers; John R. Opphile Jr., of Louisiana, and Douglas (Karina) Wilson, of Piqua, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister; Marciell L. Swiger, and one brother; Charles Opphile.

William was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan, as well as the Cleveland Browns. During Williams free time, he could be found fishing and enjoying the outdoors, after retiring as a truck driver. Salm - McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home is honored to serve the Opphile family.
