Shahin Hunt, 83, of Troy, passed away on November 29, 2025, at Fair Haven Shelby County Home – Sidney. She was born on October 27, 1942, to the late Ali & Ghammar Houshiar, in Isfahan, Iran.

She was married to William W. Hunt, and he preceded her in death, along with her parents, sisters - Fakhrieh & Mahin, and one brother – Houshang. Shahin is survived by her daughters – Shalin “Natalie” (Dean) Winner, and Tania Hunt, as well as her sister – Sheida, and brother – Ali Reza. She also leaves behind 3 grandchildren – Eddy, Bret (Amber), and Alex, as well as 2 great grandchildren – Raelyn, and Peyton.

She spent her early years in Iran before moving to England for secondary school, attending an all-girls boarding school in Brighton. Her love of learning and curiosity about the world led her to continue her studies abroad in nursing, business, and fashion design.

Shahin embraced life with vibrancy and style. She adored fashion, treasured her travels, and held her family and friends closest to her heart. To know her was to feel her warmth—she had a remarkable ability to brighten any room she entered with her radiant smile, grace, and effortless elegance.

No one was ever a stranger to Shahin. She made everyone feel cherished, often punctuating conversations with her signature “darling”—or as she so fondly said it, “Dah-ling.” It became a beloved part of how people remembered her, a small word that captured the generosity and affection she shared so freely.

She will be remembered for the joy she brought into the world, the love she gave so openly, and the light she leaves behind in the hearts of all who knew her.

The family has chosen to hold a celebration of life at a later date to honor her memory. In Lieu of flowers the family request donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association https://www.alz.org.

Salm – McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hunt, and Winner Family.
