Robert H. “Bob” Shoemaker, age 85, of Sidney, passed away on September 22, 2026, at Fair Haven Shelby County Home. He was born July 28, 1941, a son of the late Harry and Marie (Boyce) Shoemaker.

On May 9, 1964, in Mansfield, Ohio, he was united in marriage to Karen Kinstle, who survives. Together, they shared 62 years of marriage. Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Ryan Shoemaker and Michael Shoemaker; four grandchildren, Bailey (Seth), Tia (Kevin), Timothy, and Ryan (Liz); his great-grandchildren, Jameson, Rory, RJ, and Ripley; and his niece, Suzi Kinstle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Ann Kinstle, and his parents-in-law, Josephine and Venard Kinstle.

Mr. Shoemaker was employed by Crane Pumps for 30 years. A talented artist, he enjoyed painting automobiles and creating airbrushed murals on cans, cars, motorcycles, and gas tanks. He also found much enjoyment in photography and woodworking.

The family wishes to express its sincere appreciation to his special friends, Amy Potts, Stacy Jackson, Heather Shell, Marilyn Voisard, Sue and John Wolff, and Irma Sanchez.

In accordance with Mr. Shoemaker’s wishes, cremation will take place, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
