Mark Alan "Alan" Wita, of Sidney, passed away on January 24, 2021, in Sidney, Ohio. He was born to the late Marcella Hauff and the late Mark Alan Wita.
Alan is survived by his daughter, Carianna Wita, and his son, Carson Michael Wita, both of Sidney. He is also survived by his siblings, Austin Wita, Devon Wita, Chace Wita, and Waylon Goings; one niece, Augustine Wita; one nephew, Dayvon Wita; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends, and his grandmother, Velma Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents, Gena Wita, Alan Hauff, and Earl Wita.
Alan was passionate about fishing, hunting, camping, archery, and anything that involved the outdoors. He loved his two children deeply, and spending time with his family was very important to him, especially time with his brothers.
Alan had a special heart and was drawn to helping the less fortunate. He also had a passion for helping the disabled and mentally challenged. His compassion for everyone was immeasurable, and his kindness was his special gift.
Alan was cremated in 2021 and will be laid to rest alongside his mother, Marcella Hauff, at Shelby Memory Gardens on July 31, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. A procession will begin at Salm–McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home at 12:30 p.m., leading to the cemetery. Services are in the care of Salm–McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home, Sidney.
