She is also survived by her siblings; Nick Rice, Alex Rice, and Victoria (Dustin) Schellhaas, grandparents; Frank and Carol Gilardi, as well as several aunts and uncles; Teresa Rice, Naomi Swearengin, Tim Rice, Shannon Rice, Julie Gilardi, Steve and Brenda Gilardi, Sam and Shelly Gilardi, Phil and Trina Gilardi, Marc and Colleen Gilardi, nieces and nephews; Veda, Ollie, Ryker, Alayna, Luna, and Hazel. She leaves behind her cherished best friends; Jenny Vorhees, Wendy Kelly, and many more.

Lindsay was preceded in death by her daughter; Mary Veronica, grandmother; Carol Covault, grandfather; Wilbur Rice, grandmother; Alice Rice, and her uncle; Frank Gilardi Jr..

Lindsay graduated from Sidney High School, and was currently studying social services at New Hampshire University. She worked for Capital Management Services. Lindsay was a woman of strong faith. She prayed daily, and loved God with her whole heart, and loved her faith with a strong love that will live on forever. Lindsay had a smile that was genuine, and could be seen shining from across the room. If her smile wasn’t seen, you could hear her laughing. Her laugh would fill a room and send love and happiness straight to your heart. She had a kind and silly nature that was absolutely contagious and would bring the best out of anyone.

Her family meant everything to her. She adored being an aunt and when she got the chance to finally become a grandma, she took on that role as if those babies were her own. She was a lover of nature. So much so, that her house was covered in plants, each one getting special attention daily as if they were her children. Her mind would create the most beautiful crafts. She could turn a dish detergent container into the most beautiful work of art. She found pleasure in the little things and made the little things have meaning. She saw the beauty in everyone and welcomed anyone with open arms.

Throughout life, Lindsay was faced with many obstacles but overcame each of them and came out of them stronger and more positive than the day before. Lindsay will be remembered as “one of the strongest people I knew”. May her love, smile, laughter, and kindness live on in each and every heart that knew Lindsay.
