Joshua Alan King

Joshua Alan King, 45, of Sidney, passed away at 9:00 a.m. at his residence. He was born on April 24, 1981, to Dickie King and Debra (Reed) King.

Joshua was the kind of person who left an impression on everyone he met. He had a big heart, a strong spirit, and a personality that could light up a room. He loved hard, cared deeply, and was always willing to help the people he loved. His passing leaves a hole in the hearts of his family and friends that can never truly be filled.

Joshua's faith in Yahushua was an important part of his life. He believed in love, forgiveness, and staying connected to the people who mattered most. Family meant everything to him, and he was proud of being a father. His children were one of the greatest blessings in his life, and he loved them with all his heart.

He is survived by his loving parents, Debbie King and Dickie King; his daughter, Kailey King (Madison Burks); his son, Kylan King; his daughter, Aubrey King; his son, Kayden King; his brother, Cory King; and his niece, Destiny Jess. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.

Joshua was preceded in death by his sister, Terra Jess; his brother, Eric Reed; his brother, Michael King; and his cousin, Ricky Reed. While losing those he loved was never easy, he carried their memories with him throughout his life.

Anyone who knew Joshua knew he had a style all his own. He loved tattoos and saw them as a way to express himself and tell parts of his story. He enjoyed working out and always tried to stay strong both physically and mentally. He loved his jewelry and took pride in wearing pieces that meant something to him. If you knew Joshua, you probably knew his favorite color was red. Whether it was something he wore, something he owned, or simply a color that caught his eye, red was a part of who he was.

Joshua was also a devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers. He enjoyed watching the games, cheering on his team, and sharing that excitement with family and friends. Win or lose, he stayed loyal and proud.

More than anything else, Joshua loved people. He loved spending time with friends and family, telling stories, sharing laughs, and making memories. He had a way of making people feel welcome and accepted. He enjoyed conversations that lasted for hours and valued real connections with others. Whether you knew him for years or only a short time, there was a good chance he made you feel like family.

One of the things people will remember most about Joshua was his heart. He was a hopeless romantic who believed in love and never stopped hoping for happiness. He cared deeply for the people in his life and always had more love to give. He was someone who wanted the best for those around him and found joy in seeing others smile. His kindness, loyalty, and caring nature touched many lives.

The memories Joshua leaves behind will live on through the stories shared by family and friends, through the laughter he brought into people's lives, and through the love he gave so freely. While his time here was far too short, the impact he made on the lives of those who knew him will never be forgotten.

Joshua will be deeply missed every day, but he will always be remembered for his strength, his faith, his love for his family, his unique style, his big heart, and the way he made people feel valued. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday - June 17, 2026, from 11 AM until the time of the funeral service at 1PM, at Salm - McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home - Sidney. Burial will follow at Fletcher Cemetery. Services are in the care of Salm - McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home - Sidney.
