Glenda Jean Waldroop

Glenda J. (Hayden) Waldroop, 63, of Spartinburg, South Carolina, formerly of Sidney, passed away on June 5, 2025, at 7:00 AM. She was born on January 28, 1962, to the late Burdette E. Hayden and the late Mary L. (Bryant) Baker. 

Glenda married David Waldroop, and he preceded her in death on July 6, 2022. She is survived by her son - Dustin (Erica) Waldroop of Spartinburg, SC.  Glenda is also survived by her siblings - Sandi (Doug) Carson, Marjine (Dale Weber) Gregg, Yvonne (Andy) Kinkle, Pam (Albert) Leffew, Carl (Sandy) Hayden, Penny (Dan) Riter, and Sally Gold, as well as several nieces and nephews. 

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, her brother Ron Hayden, Nephews - Brad Aaron Wille, and Jeremy Dean Hayden, and one niece - Nicole Renee Hayden, as well as her brother in law - Mark Gold. 

Glenda attended Sidney High School with the graduating class of 1981, and was a softball player for Sidney Electric Girls League. She worked at LK Restaurant in Sidney, and several places in Lakeland, Florida, where she spent most of her adult life. Glenda was an animal lover and had several dogs and cats with her favorite cat being Opie. 

She will be missed by her family and friends and everyone that knew her. 

A memorial service will be held at Salm - McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home on June 28, 2025 at 12 PM, with Pastor Dan Gutman. Family and friends may call to the funeral home from 10 AM until the time of the service. Services are in the care of Salm - McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home - Sidney.
