Gary S. DeVelvis

Gary S. DeVelvis, 74, of Sidney, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday - May 26, 2026. He was born on February 21, 1952, in Sidney, Ohio, to the late Wilfred and Leona (Kies) DeVelvis.

Gary is survived by his children - Danielle DeVelvis, and Shad DeVelvis. He is also survived by his siblings - Jim (Vickie) DeVelvis, David (Linda) DeVelvis, Terry DeVelvis, Judy DeVelvis, and Diane Bender.

Gary graduated from Sidney High School, and had many occupations throughout Ohio, Texas, California, and Massachusetts. After coming back to Ohio, his favorite job was running a rescue for boxer dogs, and enjoyed a lifelong love for canine species.

The DeVelvis family would like to thank the Sidney Police Department, and the Sidney Fire Department for their kindness and professionalism during this difficult time. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. Cremation will take place through Salm - McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home - Sidney.
