Emma R. Critchfield

Emma R. Critchfield, 94, formerly of Port Jefferson, Ohio died at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Minster, Ohio on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 1:05 PM. She was born November 24, 1915 in Mount Vernon, Illinois the daughter of Allen G. and Anna M. (Johnson) Jones and they are deceased. She moved to Shelby County in 1977 from Coldwater, Michigan. She was married January 3, 1932 to Jack F. Critchfield and he died July 12, 1985. She is survived by a granddaughter, Melissa Risley and husband Gene of Harrison, Ohio. She had attended the Port Jefferson Church of Christ in Port Jefferson, Ohio. She was self employed as a hairdresser for many years. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney with Rev. Patrick Kelly officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Quincy, Ohio. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home from 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 until the hour of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Manor Nursing Home Resident Activity Fund, 24 North Hamilton Street, Minster, Ohio 45865. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
