Donald Fair

Donald Eugene Fair, 84, of Sidney, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loved ones, on July 24, 2026. He was born on August 14, 1941, to the late Margie Anglus (Ivy) Fair and Loren Jackson Fair.

Donald is survived by his spouse, Susan June (Spangler) Fair; his sons, Jace (Sandy) Fair and Logan (Lola) Fair; his daughters, Jo Ellen Fair, Connie (Scott) Johnson, and Kelly (Chris) Walker; as well as his 12 grandchildren; Derick Mason, Shanna (Derek) Bowden, Jenny (Aaron) Haeberle, Allison (Kevin) Fultz, Brandon (Katie) Johnson, Samantha Johnson, Zane Walker, Kaeden Walker, Grant Fair, Lainie Fair, Luke Dahlinghaus and Emma Dahlinghaus; and 6 great-grandchildren; Phoebe Mason, Sophie Mason, Alaina Henry, Benjamin Fultz, Octavia Haeberle, and Jacquelyn Bowden. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Donald is preceded in death by his siblings: Jerry (Phyllis) Fair, Lauren Jay (Maxine) Fair, Vonda Jean (Rodger) Wolf, and Joe (Jane) Fair.

Donald graduated from Sidney High School in 1959. He served in the military for 30 years, having been a Vietnam veteran, Flight Engineer Specialist, and Air Transportation Craftsman. He was active in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 to 1968, and then served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves from 1976 to 2001, specifically with the 87th Aerial Port Squadron. Donald worked in Purchasing and Inside Sales at Dickman Supply for 23 years before retiring. In his free time, Donald enjoyed playing golf and gardening. He was also a fan of Ohio State.

A Memorial service will be held on Friday - August 14, 2026, from 5PM until 10PM, at the Moose Club in Sidney. Private graveside services will take place at Graceland Cemetery - Sidney. Services are in the care of Salm - McGill & Tangeman Funeral Home - Sidney.
