Dawn E. Clayton

Dawn Curtis-Clayton, 62, of Sidney, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, at 4:44 PM. She was born on January 2, 1964, to June and the late Lenord Curtis.

Dawn was a caring and compassionate woman who dedicated much of her life to helping others. She earned a bachelor’s degree and two master’s degrees in Social Work, reflecting her dedication to making a difference in the lives of those around her. Dawn will be remembered for her kind heart, strength, laughter, and unique personality. She treasured her family, friends, and her beloved fur babies, Maverick and Barkley, who were a very special part of her life.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lenord Curtis;  her husband, Doug Clayton; her brother, Craig Curtis; and her beloved aunt, Ellie Henman. She is survived by her loving mother, June; several cousins, and two special cousins, Christina Meyers and Colette Vestal.

Dawn will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory and the many lives she touched will remain in the hearts of those who knew her. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.” — Matthew 5:4
