Wayne Lamming Obituary

Wayne Eldon 'Red' Lamming, 83, 8460 Patterson-Halpin Rd., Sidney, Ohio died at his residence on Saturday, April 16, 2011. He was born September 16, 1927 in Hillsboro, Illinois the son of Clarence Lamming Sr. and Helen O. (Cress) Lamming and they are deceased. He was married on February 12, 1965 to Eva Mae Brown and she died on August 13, 2009. He moved to Shelby County in 1988 from Belleville, Illinois. Surviving is a son, Michael W. Lamming of St. Louis, Missouri; step-son, Kenneth W. Niederbrach of Russia, Ohio; sister, Barbara McKinley of Belleville, Illinois and a brother, William 'Duke' Lamming of Sacramento, California; three grandchildren, Kenneth William Niederbrach Jr. of Alabama; William C. Niederbrach of Piqua, Ohio and Tammy Nicole Windsor of Huber Heights, Ohio and two great-grandchildren, Kylie Niederbrach and Brent Allen Niederbrach. Mr. Lamming was a World War II Army veteran and was a member of the Sidney American Legion " Post 217. He was a volunteer with the AGAPE food pantry in Sidney. He was a member of the New Hope Methodist Church in Sidney. Funeral services will be held at Kurrus Funeral Home in Belleville, Illinois on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at at Valhalla Cemetery in Belleville, Illinois. Friends may call at Kurrus Funeral Home on Monday, April 25, 2011 from 4-8 PM. Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home of Sidney, Ohio is handling the local arrangements. Memorial contributions may be sent to Agape Food Pantry, P.O. Box 808, Sidney, Ohio 45365.
