Thelma A. Fitzgerald Thompson, 82, 100 W. Ruth St., Sidney, Ohio died at Dorothy Love Retirement Community, Sidney, Ohio on Thursday, January 15, 2004 at 10:47 PM. She was born February 24, 1921 in Evansville, Indiana the daughter of Leonard and Mabel (Ayres) Hall. She moved to Sidney in September of 1957 from Evansville, Indiana. She was married on June 21, 1939 to Harry Fitzgerald and he died in 1985 and then was married on January 28, 1988 to James Thompson and he died August 21, 1990. Survivors include eight children, Judith Fitzgerald of Braun, Florida; James of Sidney, Ohio; Mrs. Robert (Jill) Dillard of Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. Jake (Joy) Monnier of Cincinnati, Ohio; Jo Kuhn of Rockford, Ohio; Mrs. Steve (Jae) Huelskamp of Sidney, Ohio; Mrs. Donald (Jana) Douglas of Sidney, Ohio; Jean Huelskamp of Sidney, Ohio; 33 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren. Two sisters are deceased, Juanita Clark and Helen Harmon; one brother is deceased, Gerald Hall, one son, John Fitzgerald and one grandson, Tony Huelskamp. She was an avid bingo player, gardener, loved flowers and birds. She was a member of the Sweet Adelines, American Busines Women's Association and a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. She owned and operated the former Kiddies Klothes Korner in Sidney and was known as "Miss Kiddie" by the customers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Gerald Bensman at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Burial will be at Shelby Memory Gardens, Sidney, Ohio. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Monday, January 19, 2004 from 4-8 PM.
