Rosalie E. (Rose) Billing, 58, 2959 Summer Field Trail, Sidney, Ohio died at her residence on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 12:42 AM after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born December 11, 1953 in Chatfield, Ohio the daughter of Aloysis and Clara (Francis) Bender and they are deceased. Surviving is her husband, Gerald (Fred) Billing Jr. of Sidney, Ohio; two sons, Brian and wife Laurie Billing of Columbus, Ohio and Aaron and wife Lindsey Billing of Troy, Ohio; three sisters, Carol Meyer of Sidney, Ohio; Phyllis DeVelvis and husband Tom of Sidney, Ohio and Kathy and husband Larry Martin of Sidney, Ohio; six brothers, Robert and wife Susie Bender of West Liberty, Ohio; Leo and wife Nancy Bender of Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee; Louis and wife Diane Bender of Uniopolis, Ohio; Tom and wife Donna Bender of Sidney, Ohio; Gerry and wife Susan Bender of Fort Loramie, Ohio and Carl and wife Jeanette Bender of Sidney, Ohio; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece; sister-in-law, Susan Bertsch and husband Gary of Anna, Ohio and sister-in-law, Linda Meininger and husband Marv of Sidney, Ohio; several aunts and uncles, Rita Goubeaux of Osgood, Ohio; Mary Francis of Fort Loramie, Ohio; Ray Francis and wife Jeanie of Versailles, Ohio, Monica and husband Paul Stephan of Lake Placid, Florida; John and wife Mary Francis of Arcanum, Ohio; Melba Bender of Sidney, Ohio; Christine McDonald of Celina, Ohio; Pauline Schmiesing of Minster, Ohio; Ruth Bender of Dayton, Ohio; Irene Bender of St. Henry, Ohio and Julius and wife Lois Bender of Minster, Ohio; Carol Korn of Michigan and Wayne Korn of Florida; Rose was a 1972 graduate of Anna High School and a 2001 graduate of Urbana College with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a 2009 graduate of Bluffton College with a Master's Degree in Business Administration. She was employed at Emerson Climate Technologies in Sidney as a new products program manager. She was a member of the Sidney Moose and Elks and held several local and state offices with the Moose. She was an avid bowler in Sidney and was a member of the Ohio Women's Bowling Association and held several local and state offices with that organization. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church where she was a eucharistic minister for nearly 30 years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney with Rev. Dan Schmitmeyer officiating. Burial will follow at Pearl Cemetery, Swanders, Ohio. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 from 4-8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the local chapter in Sidney for the American Cancer Society or Holy Angels Catholic Church, 324 South Ohio Ave., Sidney, Ohio 45365.
