Roger Lee Tangeman Jr., 51, 8652 Morse Rd., Pataskala, Ohio formerly of Jackson Center, Ohio died at Licking Memorial Hospital, Newark, Ohio on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 7:29 AM of an apparent heart attack. He was born February 21, 1961 in Lima, Ohio the son of Roger Lee Tangeman Sr. and Ruth (Burkett) Tangeman Gaimari. His father died in 1981. His mother survives in Tucson, Arizona. Also surviving is his wife, Mary (Hammons) Tangeman of Pataskala; one daughter, Kaleena Gauthier and husband Adam of Virginia Beach, Virginia and one son, Caleb Tangeman and wife Andrea of Michigan; two step children, Kyle Pulfer and friend Rochelle Clark of Quincy, Ohio and Shauna Pulfer and husband Daniel of Kentucky; five sisters, Melanie Horstman and husband Bill of Tucson, Arizona; Rebecca Tangeman of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; Rochelle Dempsey and husband Jerry of Grove City, Ohio; Robin Caleodis of Columbus; and Nora Fritz and husband Bill of Tucson, Arizona and one brother, Michael Tangeman and wife Ine of Shakopee, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Emma Gauthier, Evah Gauthier, Aliyah Tangeman, Azlinn Tangeman and Teagan Jaynes. He was a 1980 graduate of Jackson Center High School. He worked at Thrifty Propane in Columbus, Ohio as the plant manager and in delivery service. He enjoyed fishing, antiquing and going to fish frys. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney with Brent Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Emmanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, Montra, Ohio. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home from 12 Noon until the hour of service on Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nationwide Children's Hospital; American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
