Robert (Bob) H. Arnie

Robert (Bob) H. Arnie, 82, 180 Tranquility Ct., Sidney, Ohio died at the Pavilion Nursing Home in Sidney on Thursday, November 11, 2010 at 7:30 PM. He was born March 31, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Harry and Rita (Fleming) Arnie and they are deceased. He was married to Dorothy Rauch on July 21, 1960 and she survives along with one daughter, Sue Arnie of Nashua, New Hampshire. One son, Patrick passed away in 1999. Mr. Arnie had worked at Amos Press for Linn's Stamp News in advertising for many years. He was a United States Marines veteran and served in World War II and the Korean War. He was an avid bowler at Bel-Mar Lanes in Sidney and was a regular at Clancy's Restaurant in Sidney. He enjoyed stamp collecting. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Dan Schmitmeyer. Graveside services with full military honors will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 10:30 AM at Graceland Cemetery. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Monday, November 15, 2010 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Museum of the Marine Corps.
