Raymond Leroy Magoto, 81, Quincy, Ohio, passed away at his residence on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 11:30 AM after a long battle with cancer. He was born November 25, 1935 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of Orville and Margie (Cook) Magoto and they are deceased. He married Roberta Buck on June 23, 1956 and she passed away on May 25, 2014. Surviving are five daughters, Melody Wood and husband Ron of Greenville, Michigan, Tammy Magoto and companion Bear Pfeiffer of Quincy, Ohio, Linda Wallace and husband Terry of Cartersville, Georgia, Becky Crist and husband Chuck of Dublin, Ohio, Christy Paquette and husband Doug of Merrillville, Indiana and two sons, Charles Magoto and wife Vikki of Port Jefferson, Ohio and Tom Magoto and wife Laura of DeGraff, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and a sister, Janet Glick of Sidney, Ohio. Four brothers, Orville, Richard, Nicholas and David Magoto are deceased. He graduated from Harrison-Adams High School in Rosewood, Ohio. He had worked at the Copeland Corporation in Sidney, Ohio as a supervisor retiring in 1998. He liked to fish and garden. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Sidney, Ohio where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Peter Langenkamp. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney, Ohio. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 4-8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church or St. Jude's Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
