Raymond Frankenberg Obituary

Raymond Joseph Frankenberg, 86, 212 Sophia Ave., Sidney, Ohio died at Wilson Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, October 1, 2003 at 5:04 AM. He was born September 19, 1917 in Rhine, Ohio the son of Joseph and Rose (Ebert) Frankenberg. He married Helen Monica Dunn on October 11, 1938 and she died in April of 1992. Survivors include two children, Fred Frankenberg and his wife Karla of Mount Lake Terrace, Washington and Mrs. Glenn (Ann) Hannegan of Sidney, Ohio; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter; two step grandchildren, two step great-grandchildren, one step great-great granddaughter; three brothers, Fritz and his wife Patricia of Florida; Leroy and his wife Delores of Sidney and Cletus and his wife Mary of New Knoxville, Ohio; three sisters, Rita Coffman and husband Othel of Sidney; Cleola Ernst and husband Fritz of Ft. Loramie, Ohio; and Evelyn Seger and husband Cyril of Ft. Loramie, Ohio. One grandchild and two sisters and one brother are deceased. He as a United States Army veteran in World War II. He was a life member of the Sidney American Legion, a member of the Sidney VFW and the Sidney Knights of Columbus. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. He had been a custodian and bus driver at Holy Angels School and also worked at one time for CD Beck and Mack Truck and Shelby Manufacturing in Sidney where he retired in 1981. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 6, 2003 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Earl Fernandes. Burial will be at Shelby Memory Gardens, Sidney, Ohio with full military honors. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Sunday, October 5, 2003 from 1-4 PM. A Knights of Columbus service will be held at 3:30 PM and an American Legion service will be held at 3:45 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Wilson Hospice, 915 W. Michigan Ave., Sidney, Ohio 45365 or the charity of one's choice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
