Ray Stockstill Obituary

Ray Lee Stockstill, 68, 414 Hall Ave., Sidney, Ohio died at his residence on Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at 12:30 AM. He was born February 17, 1936 in Sidney, Ohio the son of Oscar and Doris (Decker) Stockstill. He was married on July 5, 1969 to Karen Slack and she survives along with two children, Karen Renee Stockstill of Knoxville, Tennessee and Ray Anthony Stockstill of Vandalia, Ohio; one brother, Myron Kent Stockstill and his wife Barbara of Midland, Michigan and many nieces and nephews. He was a 1955 graduate of Sidney High School and attended art school in Cincinnati at the Central Academy of Commercial Artists. He was a member of the Sidney Elks and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Sidney, Ohio. He had worked at Monarch Machine Tool Company as an expediter. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2004 at 10:30 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church with Rev. Jonathan Schriber. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Friday, March 19, 2004 from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the funeral service at the church on Saturday. An Elks service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 7:45 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 120 W. Water St., Sidney, Ohio 45365 for the new bus fund and envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
