Patsy Kerber, 67, 729 Chestnut Ave., Sidney, Ohio, passed away at her residence on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 7:42 PM. She was born on May 6, 1951 in Troy, Ohio, the daughter of Robert and Maria (Messer) Thaxton and they are deceased. She was married on July 10, 1976 to Ronald J. Kerber and he survives along with five children, Amanda (Brent) Gallup of West Milton, Ohio, Angela (Keith) Riethman of Troy, Ohio, Holly (Matt) Recker of Columbus, Ohio, Emily Kerber of Dayton, Ohio and Joseph Kerber and wife Tricia of Lebanon, Ohio; two sisters, Jackie Fessler of Columbus, Ohio and Vikki (Tom) Brandenburg of Troy, Ohio and a brother, Robert Michael Thaxton of Spotsylvania, Virginia and eleven grandchildren. She was a 1969 graduate of Troy High School, Troy, Ohio. She was an assistant in the multi-handicapped classroom at Sidney High School for 16 years. She enjoyed sewing and knitting and enjoyed teaching her daughters and granddaughers how to sew. She was a member of The Sidney/Shelby County Senior Citizens and a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Sidney, Ohio. She kept in close contact with many friends that she has met throughout her life and loved meeting them for lunch, dinner or a walk. Her family and friends were so important to her. She loved taking lots of pictures of the grandchildren and was so proud of everything that they did. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father Frank Amberger. Burial will be at a later date at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney, Ohio. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 4-7 PM and on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 9:00 AM until 10:15 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church or Hospice of Miami Valley. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
