Pamela Brautigam Obituary

Pamela J. (King) Brautigam, 64, of Sidney, Ohio, passed away peacefully at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio surrounded by her loving family on Friday, December 26, 2014.   She was born March 23, 1950, the daughter of Kathryn (King) Billing, who survives, and the late James King Sr.   She was married to Robert Brautigam, of Sidney, who survives.   She is survived by her son, Brett (Heather) Sullenberger, of Sidney; sister, Carol (Gail) Freisthler, of Sidney, and brother, Jim (Roxy) King of Sidney.   Also surviving is her grandson, Sean Sullenberger and step-granddaughters, Emma and Libby Hurley, of Sidney.  Additionally, she is survived by stepdaughters, Jana (Brian) Bolton, of Sidney, Ann (Terry Gallenger) Ginacola, of Pinehurst, North Carolina and stepgranddaughters, Betheny Bolton of Sidney and Leesha Bolton of Dublin, and stepgrandsons, Derke Giancola of Raleigh, North Carolina and Wesley Bolton of Sidney.   Pam also leaves behind many adoring nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Donald Billing.  Pam graduated from Sidney High School in 1968 and had worked at Amos Press, Candlelite Realty and Wagner Realty before retiring to homemaking for her and her husband, Bob.   Pam was an adored daughter, mother and sister, as well as a warm-hearted, fun-loving grandmother who always had time for her grandchildren in following their activities, especially weekly bowling.   She so enjoyed spending time in her yard and caring for her flowers.   Many admired her beautiful home setting.   She spent many hours relaxing on her deck overlooking her yard and pond with friends and neighbors.   She and her husband were avid Ohio State fans.  Pam was a caring and devoted friend to those who knew her.   In accordance with Pam’s wishes, her body has been donated to science for medical research and education at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.   In lieu of flowers and to honor Pam’s memory, her family will set up a trust fund at a later time to benefit her beloved grandson for his future and education.   Anyone wishing to donate will find envelopes at her memorial service or you may send a donation to Carol Freisthler, 3110 Bridlewood Trail, Sidney, Ohio  45365.   A memorial service is planned for Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM to celebrate her life at the First Baptist Church, 309 E.
