Othel Bernard Coffman, 85, 318 W. Russell Rd., Apt. A, Sidney, Ohio died at the Pavilion nursing home, Sidney, Ohio on Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at 7:05 AM. He was born October 14, 1918 in Sidney, Ohio the son of Harrison and Ada (Smith) Coffman. He was married October 30, 1943 to Rita Frankenberg and she survives along with four children, Keith Coffman and his wife Martha of Sidney, Ohio; Randy Coffman and his Suzanne of Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. Randall (Yvonne) Voll of Pardeeville, Wisconsin and Kelcey Coffman and his wife Carolyn of Cincinnati, Ohio; nine grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mick Stoops of Venice, Florida and Virginia Nevin of Piqua, Ohio; Five brothers and four sisters are deceased. He was in the three "C"'s in Shelby County and was a World War II veteran in the 82nd airborne. He received two purple hearts and a bronze star. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. He was a retired carpenter and had worked for Stephens Construction Company in Sidney, Ohio and Ferguson Construction Company in Sidney, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2004 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Gerald Bensman. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney, Ohio. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Friday, January 30, 2004 from 6-8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church or the Sidney American Legion. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. An American Legion service will be held at 7:45 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
