Nancy (Lawson) Taylor

Nancy Lawson Taylor, 70, 3300 Loramie-Washington Rd., Houston, Ohio passed away at her residence on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 2:55 PM.   She was born September 2, 1944 in Williamsburg, Kentucky,  the daughter of Charlie and Irene (McKinney) Lawson and they are deceased.   She married her high school sweetheart, Donnie Ray Taylor on March 12, 1963.   Surviving are two sons, Curtis Ray Taylor and Charles Lloyd Taylor and a daughter, Melissa Taylor.   Also surviving are four sisters and two brothers.   She was the proud granny of Jessie Michael, Bethany Michelle, Allen Michael, Rachel Daniel and Maya Sue and the proud great granny of Alex Michael.   She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.   Three sisters and four brothers preceded her in death.   She retired from the Copeland Corporation in 1999 from the quality control department.   She was very active in her children’s school activities and was a member of the Church of Christ of Christian Union, Christiansburg, Ohio.   She fulfilled her dreams with her grandchildren.   She loved going to auctions and gardening.   Nancy’s favorite pastime was family gatherings.   A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Great Hope Church, 111 N. Adams, St., New Carlisle, Ohio with Pastor Curtis Ray Taylor officiating.  Burial will be at a later date at Highland Cemetery, Covington, Ohio.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Dwelling Place Christian Church, 13503 Old Troy Pike, St. Paris, Ohio  43072.   Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney is handling the funeral arrangements.   Condolences may be expressed to the Taylor family on Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home’s web site at:   www.salm-mcgillandtangemanfh.com
