Michael Anthony Brandewie

Michael Anthony Brandewie, 55, 19411 Pence Road, Maplewood, Ohio died on Friday, October 28, 2011 at the Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, Ohio after an extended illness. He was born July 23, 1956 in Sidney, Ohio the son of Paul and Rosie (Goffena) Brandewie. The father survives in Sidney and the mother died on January 12, 2011. He married Roberta Stewart on July 23, 2004 and she survives along with three step-daughters, Elizabeth McGinnis and husband Robert of Sidney; Lee Anne Wade of Maplewood and Loretta Kurey and husband Scott of Lowell, Massachusetts; three sisters, Lietta Brandewie of Blue Ash, Ohio; Lori Brandewie of Sidney, Ohio and Ann Darner and husband Robert of Sidney and a brother, Curt Brandewie and wife Barb of Bradford, Ohio; four grandsons; two granddaughters; two great grandsons and one great granddaughter. He was a 1975 graduate of Sidney High School and attended college at a power and aircraft school for two years. He was a United States Navy veteran and had worked at Plastipak in Jackson Center as a maintainence technician. In high school he was active in the Key Club. He loved auto racing. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Daniel Hess. Burial will be at Glen Cemetery, Port Jefferson, Ohio. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 6-8 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church, 324 South Ohio Ave., Sidney, Ohio 45365. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
