Mary Kerber Obituary

Mary J. Kerber, 90, Dorothy Love Retirement Community, 3003 W. Cisco Rd., Sidney, Ohio died at Dorothy Love on Thursday, September 29, 2005 at 10:55 PM. She was born February 1, 1915 in Sidney, Ohio the daughter of Peter H. and Josephine (Drees) Kothman. She was married to Lawrence Kerber in February of 1960 and he died September 8, 1971. Surviving are several nieces and nephews, Joann Brackman of Union, Ohio; William Kothman of Englewood, Ohio; Mary Lou Berning of Sidney, Ohio; Pat Eichhorn, Troy, Ohio; Mildred Skelley, Dayton, Ohio; Tom Kothman, Flower Mound, Texas; and Ron Kothman, Huber Heights, Ohio. Two stepchildren, Janice (Gerald) Smith of Palm Harbor, Florida and David (Sherri) Kerber of Sarasota, Florida; step-grandchildren, Jerry, Lynn, Todd and Lisa and six great stepgrandchildren. One step grandchild, Larry is deceased. Also deceased is one sister, Viola Kothman and three brothers, Elmer, Wilfred and Henry Kothman. She was a nurse for Dr. Lee Weis for 17 years and a nurse at Monarch Machine and also director of nursing for Dorothy Love Retirement Community for 13 years. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and an honorary member of Wilson Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. James Reutter. As per her request, he body was donated to Wright State Medical Center, Dayton, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Dorothy Love Life Care Fund, 3003 W. Cisco Rd., Sidney, Ohio 45365. Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home has charge of funeral arrangements.
