Marvin Stafford, 77, 114 W. Russell Rd., Sidney, Ohio, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 8:05 AM of natural causes. He was born August 16, 1938 in Morehead, Kentucky the son of Zora and Ina (Howard) Stafford and they are deceased. He was married to Mary Davidson on July 21, 1978 and she passed away on April 27, 2014. Surviving are two daughters, Phyllis Phelps of Quincy, Ohio and Cynthia Brown of Sidney, Ohio; four sons, Fred Stafford of Camdenton, Missouri, Tony Stafford and wife Rhonda of Bellefontaine, Ohio, Brian Stafford and wife Tracy of Miamisburg, Ohio and Mike Covert of Sidney, Ohio; two sisters, Sylvia Butler and husband Curt of Bellefontaine, Ohio and Bessie Jent of Morehead, Kentucky and several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Three sisters and one brother are deceased. He was a United States Army veteran and honorably discharged in 1963. He worked at Westinghouse in Bellefontaine, Ohio for eleven years as a laborer and also worked in Abilene, Texas for nineteen years as a machinist and at Perfecto as a machinist and then retired from there. He enjoyed woodworking, trapshooting, bowling and golfing. He was a previous member of Full Gospel Church in Sidney. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney with Rev. Rodney Ann Bensman. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco, Ohio. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney on Friday, October 23, 2015 from 9-11 AM.
