Lucille M. Meyer

Lucille M. Meyer, 96, a resident of the Caldwell House in Troy, Ohio and formerly of Sidney, Ohio,  passed away at the Upper Valley Medical Center,  Troy, Ohio on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 2:09 AM.  She was born February 18, 1918 in Putnam County, Ohio the daughter of Russell and Leona (Unverferth) Hamilton and they preceded her in death.  She was married to Vincince (Joe) Meyer on June 14, 1939 and he passed away on July 1, 2008.  She is survived by two daughters, Patricia Schiely and husband George of Troy, Ohio and Janice Meyer of Troy, Ohio; one brother, James Hamilton of Kalida, Ohio and two grandchildren, Russell and Cynthia Reynolds.   Four sisters and three brothers are deceased.   She farmed with her husband and also worked at Shelby Hardware in Sidney which her husband owned for many years.  She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and was a member of the Altar Sodality at the church.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Daniel Hess.  Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco, Ohio.  Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.  Condolences may be expressed to the Meyer family on Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home’s web site at:  www.salm-mcgillandtangemanfh.com
