Leona I. Hendricks

Leona I. Hendricks, 92, Wapak Manor, 1010 Lincoln Ave., Wapakoneta, Ohio died at the nursing home on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at 8:05 AM. She was born July 26, 1914 in Sidney, Ohio the daughter of Harry and Cora Leona (Vandemark) Ely. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Nancy) Lane of Wapakoneta, Ohio and Kathryn Jane Woodall of Sidney and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Edith E. Fridley and Faye Fogt and one brother, Harry Ely Jr. and three sons, Marion Lee, Robert Ray and Roger William are deceased. She was a retired waitress working at many of the restaurants in Shelby and Auglaize County. She enjoyed playing cards with her son-in-law, enjoyed the grandchildren and the Cincinnati Reds. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Monday, March 19, 2007 from 3-6 PM. There are no funeral services planned and the body will be cremated. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wapak Manor, 1010 Lincoln Ave., Wapakoneta, Ohio 45895 or to the charity of one's choice. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
