Kenneth Thurber Obituary

Kenneth "Pops" Dalton Thurber, 69, 15670 Meranda Road, Anna, Ohio died at Wilson Memorial Hospital on Thursday, April 17, 2003 at 11:45 AM. He was born October 15, 1933 in Laona, Wisconsin the son of Clarence and Ethel (Collins) Thurber. He moved to Shelby County in December of 1998 from Virginia Beach, Virginia. He was married January 22, 1955 to Shirley Ann Wilson and she survives with four children, Bruce of Martinez, Georgia; David of Caddot, Wisconsin; Ron of Anna, Ohio; and Darryl of Sidney; 8 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; two brothers, Norman of Deprere, Wisconsin and Robert of California; three sisters, Mrs. Jim (Mila) Schuh of Hortonville, Wisconsin; Mrs. Roger (Judy) Lemke of Saukville, Wisconsin; and Judy Thurber of Little Chute, Wisconsin. One brother and one sister are deceased. He was a member of the U.S. Army and the Korean War. He was a retired dairy farmer. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 21, 2003 at 5:00 PM at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home with Rev. Phil Chilcote. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-5 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Wilson Hospice and envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Per request of individual, body was cremated.
