Joseph Parin Obituary

Joseph M. Parin, 84, Dorothy Love Retirement Community, 3003 W. Cisco Rd., formerly of 616 Campbell Rd., Sidney, Ohio died at Dorothy Love on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at 9:35 PM. He was born May 28, 1921 in Piqua, Ohio the son of Leo and Gertrude (Treon) Parin and they are deceased. He moved to Sidney from Piqua in 1955. Surviving are one brother, Robert Parin of Lockington, Ohio and one sister, Doris Eustache of Sidney and four nieces. One brother is deceased. He attended the St. Rita's School for the Deaf in Cincinnati for twelve years. He enjoyed woodworking as a hobby and he built a scale replica of the large and rambling building of the St. Rita's School for the Deaf. The replica is in the school today. He spent 600 hours on the job. He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church. He worked at Copeland Corp. for 33 years as a welder and retired in 1987. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 12, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. Gerald Bensman. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua, Ohio. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Thursday, May 11, 2006 from 4-6 PM and on Friday, May 12, 2006 from 8:30 AM until 9:30 AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Rita's School for the Deaf, 1720 Glendale-Milford Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio 45215.
