Jeffrey Ray Todd, 55, 430 E. Hoewisher Rd., Sidney, Ohio died at his residence of natural causes on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 6:45 PM. He was born June 4, 1957 in Sidney, Ohio the son of Raymond and Mary (Rike) Todd Applegate. The father is deceased and the mother survives in Sidney. His stepmom, Lucy Todd lives in Arizona. Also surviving is his father, Darrell Applegate of Sidney. He was married on July 8, 1978 to Sheila Thomas and she survives in Sidney along with a son, Jeremy Todd of Sidney; mother-in-law, Lois Thomas of Newcomb, Tennessee; a brother, John Todd of El Cajon, California; half brother, Christopher Todd, half sister, Karen, stepsisters, Lisa and Diana; and Darcey Winchester and husband Pete of Sidney; step brothers, Robin Applegate of Sidney and Jim Weissman and three grandchildren, Kiersten, Brayden and Jeremiah Todd and sister-in-laws, Sandy and husband Neal Roark, Shelby and husband Brad Mitchell, Suzanne and husband Mark Moore and Sonya Thomas. His brother, Jim Todd, and stepbrother Brett Applegate and his father-in-law, Luther Ray Thomas preceded him in death. He was a 1975 graduate of Sidney High School. He was employed at the Ohio Department of Transportation in Sidney as a security guard. He was a member of the North Broadway Church of Christ, Sidney. He was an avid Cleveland Browns, Ohio State, Cincinnati Reds and NASCAR fan and an avid fisherman. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the North Broadway Church of Christ, 2655 Broadway Ave., Sidney, Ohio with Evangelist Brent Wright. Memorial contributions may be made to the family and envelopes will be available at the church. Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney is handling the funeral arrangements.
