James Mawhorr Obituary

James L. Mawhorr (Jim), 87, 340 S. Miami Ave., Sidney, Ohio died Saturday, December 4, 2004 at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney, Ohio at 4:15 AM. He was born March 9, 1917 in Hardin, Ohio the son of Joseph Warren and Sophie (Gahm) Mawhorr. He married Katherine Kinstler on April 15, 1944 and they celebrated 60 years of marriage. She survives along with one son, Dennis of Sidney. One daughter, Janice Ann Fullenkamp is deceased. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Julia and husband Rick Kremer of St. Joe, Ohio; Kimberly and husband Fred Thaman of Kettering, Ohio; Lori Fullenkamp of Kettering, Ohio; and Amanda Fullenkamp of Celina, Ohio; two great-great grandsons and one step great granddaughter. Jim was in the lumber business most of his life. He worked at PK Lumber, manager of Kocher Lumber. He then went to Fair Haven Shelby County Home to work and retired from there in 1985. He was a charter member of the Sidney Board of Appeals, a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and a past member of the Sidney Knights of Columbus. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2004 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Rev. James Reutter. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Sidney, Ohio. Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 8, 2004 from 4-7 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church, 324 S. Ohio Ave., Sidney, Ohio 45365 or Lehman High School, 2400 St. Mary's Ave., Sidney, Ohio 45365. Envelopes will also be available at the funeral home.
