Irene E. Freisthler

Irene E. Freisthler, 90, 107 W. Main St., Anna, Ohio, passed away at the Versailles Health Care Center, Versailles, Ohio on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at 2:38 AM.   She was born on April 21, 1928 in St. Henry, Ohio the daughter of George and Amelia (Reier) Hein and they are deceased.   She was married to Thomas Freisthler on May 1, 1948 and he is deceased.   Surviving are two daughters, Mary Bensman and husband Larry of New Bremen, Ohio and Karen Luthman and husband Dale of Russia, Ohio and three sons, Donald Freisthler and wife Carolyn of Sidney, Ohio; Patrick Freisthler and wife Deb of Anna, Ohio and George Freisthler and wife Joyce of Sidney, Ohio; three sisters, Caroline Buschur (deceased) brother-in-law Eugene Buschur of Coldwater, Ohio; Ruth Brookhart and husband Curtis of New Bremen, Ohio and Rita Oldberding and husband Henry of Minster, Ohio and one brother, Gregor Hein (deceased) and sister-in-law Dorothy Hein of Montezuma, Ohio and eleven grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.   She was a graduate of St. Henry High School.   She had worked at Goodyear as a factory worker.   She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, McCartyville, Ohio and helped on alot of funeral dinners at the church.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, McCartyville, Ohio with Father Steve Mondiek.   Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, McCartyville, Ohio.   Friends may call at Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 4-8 PM and on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 9-10 AM at the Gathering Space at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Women's Auxiliary with Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney, Ohio.   Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.   Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home in Sidney, Ohio is handling the funeral arrangements.   Condolences may be expressed to the Freisthler family on Salm-McGill and Tangeman Funeral Home's web site at:   www.salm-mcgillandtangemanfh.com
